Quicken and Mint.com

Published on April 22nd, 2016

Several members have contacted us about the use of Quicken and Mint.com. These members are reporting trouble adding their accounts or retrieving their transaction history using these products. Leyden Credit Union has reached out to our software vendor for Leyden Online as well as Quicken to research the situation.

We have been informed that Quicken does not have a supported secure interface to Leyden Online using Quicken’s Direct Connect communications method. Direct Connect is used to automatically update account records without manual user export/import actions. To load your credit union accounts into Quicken successfully, a member will need to access Leyden Online and save individual suffix history into an export file (QFX). This file can then loaded into Quicken using the import tools.

Mint.com (which is owned by Quicken), does not have an export/import feature. Attempting to access your credit union accounts with Mint.com will be unsuccessful.

Leyden Credit Union is working with Quicken/Mint.com to identify the communication trouble and attempt to correct it, if possible. But due to Leyden Online’s enhanced security measures to protect member accounts, it may not be possible to establish a permanent supported and secure solution.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you.

-Leyden Credit Union Management.
